Q. Do you allow pets?
A. Sorry, we don't allow pets on the property.
Q. What is the maximum number of people that can stay in the cabin?
A. We allow a maximum of eight people, no exceptions.
Q. Is the rental home waterfront?
A. Yes, there is a private beach. You can see pictures
of the beach here.
Q. What is the beach like?
A. There is a grassy beach. Once in the water, there is a sandy bottom
that declines very gradually. The beach is ideal for those who like to
wade into the water. The water depth at the end of our dock (shown here)
is approximately 10-12', depending on water levels.
Q. How far is the rental home from Anytown?
A. You can get directions and an approximate driving time using this
page. The address for our rental home is 10 Moe's Court,
Paradox Lake, NY 12858. Please note that for most mapping programs, such
as MapQuest, you have to use 6 Moe's Court instead of 10 Moe's Court to get
directions.
Q. Do I need to bring linens?
A. No. We provide all linens.
Q. What appliances are in the kitchen?
A. The kitchen includes a full stove, a dishwasher, and a standard fridge.
We do not have a microwave.
Q. Is there internet access?
A. No.
Q. Is there cell-phone reception at the rental home?
A. No. The nearest reception is about one mile away from the home.
The home is equipped with a land-line.
Q. Is there a television?
Does it include television stations?
A. We finally broke down and put a television in the basement. The TV has
a DVD player and a VCR, but there are no local or cable television
stations. The TV has auxiliary jacks for connecting video game systems.

Where is the nearest
boat launch? Can we use your dock?
A. The nearest public launch is less than a mile to the West of the cabin off of
I-74. You may use our dock to park your boat.

Rates, Availability, and Payment Policies

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We accept personal checks, cashier's checks, and money orders. We also
accept eChecks through PayPal.com.
Q. How do I
make a reservation?
A. The best way to make a reservation is to contact us using our online contact
form. You may also call to reserve, 518-810-6746.
Q. What is required when I make a reservation?
A. We require a $500 rental deposit with one week of reserving the cabin. The full rental amount is
due two weeks prior to the time of rental.
We require a $300 security deposit in case of damage not caused
by regular wear and tear. The deposit will be returned following
inspection after your stay. If there is more than $300 in
damage, you will
be billed for the remaining amount. We appreciate you leaving the house
in the same condition in which it was found.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. If
you must cancel your reservation, please let us know as early as possible. Refunds of the $500.00 deposit will be prorated according to the
following schedule:
8 weeks prior: refund 75%
6 weeks prior: refund 50%
4 weeks prior: refund 25%
Less than 4 weeks prior: refund
